Langstone Cliff Hotel

Booked for afternoon tea using a voucher we had received as a gift. After arriving earlier in the day to enjoy a walk along the coast, we were warmly welcomed at Reception and immediately shown to our table. The view across the lawns to the estuary beyond was glorious and the afternoon tea was perfect - fresh sandwiches (no crusts!), fluffy warm scones and three delicious cakes garnished with fresh strawberries. Our waiter was attentive and arranged for a takeaway box for the goodies we had leftover! Thanks for a super afternoon - we'll be back!

Just got back from a 4 night holiday at the Langstone Cliff Hotel and it was perfect in every way. We were on an organised coach trip and we were given an extremely comfortable room for our stay, which looked newly refurbished. We had a wonderful view of the grounds, swimming pool & sea. The Langstone staff are exceptional especially in the dining room. They were always busy but so helpful & cheerful.

Another very successful family celebration thanks to the Langstone Cliff Hotel . Twenty family and friends stayed for the weekend of 24th May 2024 to celebrate our golden wedding . We stayed for three nights , we had a fabulous weekend , thanks to Louise and her amazing team. All the staff are friendly , nothing was too much trouble , rooms very clean and comfortable with a newly upgraded bathroom for us . The food was excellent , good choice for everyone , we had a family lunch for thirty two people in the Orchid room everyone commented on what a really lovely lunch with excellent service we were all very well looked after . Thank you to the Chef especially for the Sticky Toffee Pudding ! The children as usual had a ball ! They loved KB sounds and Professor Bumble . The swimming pool indoors was a great success as was all the running around the grounds playing chase and hide and seek! So accessible to the beautiful beach and the fairground rides . It is difficult to pinpoint why the Langstone Cliff is such a special place for us , I think because it is a truly wonderful place for all the family it caters for everyone , we have 4 year olds through to 80 year olds . Wonderful setting beautiful views across the Bay very relaxing . Thank you yet again to all of the Langstone Cliff Team

What a wonderful week we had at this hotel The view from the lawn is splendid. The rooms are very comfortable, well equipped. My bathroom had obviously been recently refurbished. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice. The starter and main course are table style. The main course is self serve, but staff are happy to bring your meal to your table should you wish. The staff are friendly and efficient and can’t do enough to help you. The hotel is away from Dawlish but an hourly bus service stops right outside. Dawlish Warren is a few minutes walk away. I went with my u3a group and we all had a wonderful time.

First stayed at Langstone Cliff 48 years ago, making friends with three other families and making annual reunions with growing children. The four families still meet up at the Langstone Cliff even though we are all now retired. It is a family friendly hotel owned by the Rogers family. Our latest stay was as enjoyable as all the others.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Langstone Cliff Hotel. Our room with balcony was very comfortable and well appointed. The hotel operation has clearly been honed over many years of family ownership and it shows - everything seems to run like clockwork. In particular the dining room arrangements work very well and the food is very pleasant too and excellent value. The staff are without exception friendly and efficient - this makes such a difference! All in all a nice change from soulless chain hotels.

Called here for Sunday lunch as it is open to non residents. A lovely hotel in a splendid setting. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. What more could you ask? Reasonably priced as well. Whenever we are down Dawlish way, this will be a must.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We were visiting an elderly relative living locally and the stay here made the trip very enjoyable. We had a balcony room with sea views which was very nice.

Very friendly and helpful staff who strived to make our stay comfortable. Good food and a well stocked bar with local ales.
